Surging Sparks price guide: the Pikachu ex and what else is worth money
The Surging Sparks Pikachu ex sells for about £216 in the UK. One of every card is under £1,000. Here's what the chase cards really sell for, and which ones are cheaper than usual.
Surging Sparks has one big card: the Pikachu ex special illustration rare (238/191). It sells for about £216 raw in the UK, the middle of 12 eBay UK sales.
One of every card in the set adds up to about £930. That makes Surging Sparks one of the cheaper modern sets to complete, and most of the value is in three cards.
The chase cards
| Card | UK price (raw) | UK sales |
|---|---|---|
| Pikachu ex 238/191 | £216 | 12 |

| Milotic ex 237/191 | £84 | 12 |
| Pikachu ex 247/191 (gold) | £48 | 10 |
After those, prices drop off fast. The Hydreigon ex 240/191 and the Latios 203/191 illustration rare are both around £26.

How we price these cards
UK prices are the middle of real eBay UK sold listings, with fakes, lots, graded copies and other languages removed. Where UK sales are thin, we use Cardmarket and TCGplayer, converted to pounds each morning. Check the card pages for today's price.
