Paldean Fates price guide: the Mew ex carries the set
The Paldean Fates Mew ex sells for about £675 in the UK, close to 40% of what the whole set is worth. Here's what the Charizard, Gardevoir and shiny cards really sell for.

Paldean Fates is the shiny set, but one card does most of the heavy lifting. The Mew ex special illustration rare (232) sells for about £675 raw in the UK, from 5 recent sales.
One of every card in the set adds up to about £1,690 on the European and US markets. The Mew ex alone is close to 40% of that.
The big three
| Card | UK price (raw) | UK sales | Europe and US, in £ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mew ex 232 | £675 | 5 | £648 |
| Charizard ex 234 | £182 | 7 | £228 |
| Gardevoir ex 233 | not enough UK sales yet | £124 |
The Charizard ex is cheaper in the UK than abroad, about £182 against £228. A PSA 10 copy has sold for about £537 here, from 6 sales.
The Gardevoir ex is selling about where it usually does right now, so it's neither in our Buy zone nor our Sell zone. When we wrote this, it was about 17% under its usual level. Zones describe the price, not a forecast. A PSA 10 Gardevoir sells for about £251 in the UK, from 7 sales.
The shiny cards
Most of the set is the baby shiny rares, and they're cheap to collect. The best ones on the European and US markets:
- Pikachu 131: about £45
- Charmander 109: about £23
- Snorlax 202 and Mimikyu 160: about £21 to £22 each
- Ditto 201: about £20
That makes the shiny set a good one to finish. Leave out the top three and the rest of the set costs far less than the Mew ex on its own.
How we price these cards
UK prices are the middle of real eBay UK sold listings, cleaned of fakes, lots, graded copies and other languages. Where we have too few UK sales, we say so and show the Cardmarket and TCGplayer price in pounds. Data, not financial advice.
